I fully understand you. I am not romantically involved with my supposed twin soul. If anything, he is just a friend whom I became involved with when i got a telepathic message from his parents. Thats how it all started. I felt a soul bonding with his mother, that she wanted me to help her son. Then other strange things began to happen. I was feeling and hearing spirit messages and having dreams that came true. Directly after meeting him the spirit world had opened up to me. I also started making major decisions that I wasn't able to make before. I even started writing again. I wrote poems to him and he has read everyone of them. I tried to pull back my energy from him, but I found it very hard.
Once, I actually saw his face in my husbands face and it freaked me out. Thats when I had to cut the chords. The only reason I mentioned Antera is because she was able to help. She is clearly on a different level than I, she has been channeling since she was a child. I have never experienced channeling. I am very new to all of this as you can see.
