Author: Natalie
Subject: She nuzzled his cheek softly and nestled close to his side, pulling a light blanket over them both. "Every moment of every day, I missed you." She promised him without hesitation or even a hint of evidence that that might not be true. At his expression of desire to just live a normal life though, she smiled sadly and shook her head slowly. Her big brother was the one locked up now, and things wouldn't go back to normal until he was back as well. She brushed her lips sweetly over his though. "I'm just so happy that you're back, love."

  • "Yeah..." He murmured softly, wrapping his arms around her as he tugged her to his side. He was thinking about Aly now though, that she was sleeping by herself and Jake was on an uncomfortable cot in a dank little cell. His eyes closed as he thought about his best, letting out a soft breath. There was no winning in this situation, someone was hurting anyway the dice rolled. A soft sigh escaped his lips, his mind going back to the trial, seeing the family of the slain man..it had been a hard time and as if he didn't already live with enough grief, now he had those faces to haunt him too...
