The current head of Ananda Ashrama is a woman. Ramakrishna org doesn't like it.

But I think they are more open minded that women can be Swamis and teachers and liberated by now aren't they?

The reason this idea started is most women are not rooted in gyana so necessary to get moksha. But they get going faster on the path due to their bakti. Yogananda said this also. Also that "boys fall more often because they have too much (Sex) temptation." That is on the tape SRF released.
