That must have made an interesting court hearing, but perhaps it is the same one that H refers to in another post and this guru did not take it seriously.

It may have been a lawsuit over property of the Ashram. It was written in one of the books, but I have stored my Babaji books in an inaccessible corner of the garage hence can't look it up.

Thing is, this Ashram was originally run by a miracle-working yogi in the early 1900's, the "Haidakhan Baba". He disappeared in 1922. There are a number of photographs of him and some books in Hindi. On the photographs he has the same sort of strange look like many local people I saw in that area. A disciple of his announced his return for 1970, and in that year the Bhole Babaji began to draw attention.

So there are two Haidakhan Babajis. Reminds me a bit of Shirdi Sai and Sai Baba - the latter claiming to be a reincarnation of the former.
