"Hey." He lingered in the doorway for a moment, watching her quietly, and then stepped back a little before turning and heading into the kitchen. Pulling open the fridge door, he reached for a beer but then changed his mind and opted for a bottle of water instead - unsure quite why, but just that he wasn't feeling much like anything. Normally, he didn't mind disciplinary suspensions - sometimes he got paid, but even when he didn't he had enough to get by until he was reinstated, and he didn't mind the time off. He wasn't like her - was much less driven. It was hard this time around though because, should he re-test positive, his only options were accept expulsion, or appeal.
