• He was just tired of it all - the harder he tried to stop using, the more exhausted he felt and the darker the world seemed to be. It was mentally and physically wearing him out and he could handle it, and then when he went for another fix - he felt like a complete failure who could do nothing for himself or the woman that he loved more than anything. • He prided himself on being a strong person and so he was having trouble checking himself in for a few reasons - one, because he didn't want to admit to everyone that he was so weak to have formed such a nasty addiction, and two, because he was afraid he wouldn't be able to to handle the withdrawal. But again, he had too much pride to admit that to anyone - the mother of his girlfriend especially. "It's not like it's a vaca in the sun. I'd be stuck in there...
