So the question still remains if Flores carried Gonzo as a coach. In addition the loss of scoring option Peter Mulligan has to be addressed, and I see that their high Profile recruit Devon Austin only played 13 minutes and 2 pts, He was supposed to pick up some of Mulligans scoring. He eventually might do that, but not game 1.
Their guards shot 4 of 24. Not a good shooting unit except for Xavier who went only 2 of 11. A lot depends on Xavier and Austin this year from the outside..... if not their offense will consisy of only inside scoring and putbacks off-boards.

Doesn't bode well for the MAAC. Seton Hall isn't good. The MAAC's top teams need to beat the bottom feeders from major conferences.

Agree. I think that the MAAC should be able to go .500 against against the bottom 4-5 teams in Big East. Stags will have to pick up Manhattan by beating Providence.
I also think that the MAAC needs to go .500 agaisnt the bottom half of the A-10. Don't know if St Joes and Fordham are top or bottom half, but my guess they are in the middle so .500 agaisnt them is needed.

MANHATTAN is way overated, just a bunch of thugs who play like they are at WEST 4th steet. CJ Anderson is a train wreck waiting to happen.

i don't think this board is a place to talk about thugs. there have been no charges brought up in anything regarding CJ, and i don't believe fairfield can say the same. its the first game of the year, you shouldn't look to into it, its not as if they played st marys school for the blind.

I agree with jaspers. Let's keep it to basketball.
That said, it's been a disappointing start for the MAAC. We're a big 0fer!!! Let's hope Manhattan can beat Boston University.

That Duke whitewash last night makes Seton Hall's rout of Manhattan look even worse. How bad would Duke have beaten the Jaspers last night?
