Subject: Akeem Gooding - Quinnipiac Transfer?

The Siena MB is indicating that Akeem Gooding (6'5", 190, Christ the King HS) is looking to transfer out of Quinnipiac. Disappointing news for Joey D, but, perhaps he might be able to influence his decision on where to transfer. Do you think TOT might be interested?

I don't think we were ever after Gooding, and he was all set to go to Prep school last year before commiting to Quinnipiac. I saw him play with Herbie at the Jordan classic, and he is a very active player with very good hops abiality to take it to the rim. Not much of an outside shot.

Ironically, we are after his teammate of last year, Rob Hampton, of Christ the King. Hampton is 6-3, Gooding is 6-5, and the style of their games seem to be similar and project to be SF's. Gooding was ranked 19th in NYC last year, and Hampton is ranked 17th in NYC this year. Scout.com says we have offerred Hampton.
