What does that mean? What hell is going to break loose?

The Stags are not going to have a good OCC record no matter what happens tomorrow. They will likely finish the occ schedule 2-7. Many people predicted this. They have no size whatsoever. Say a prayer that Maxwell returns, Mamadou is the real deal and Middleton continues to improve. And hopefully they can salvage the Maac portion of the season, as they aren't poised to do much before second semester.

I also do not understand what will break loose. It is an important game because this team needs a home win, but any special meaning to the game I do not see.

I agree that the MAAC portion of this schedule is what is now special. JCM I would agree about your comments on Max, Mamadou and Middleton, but would also would add a hopefull return of MOS...which is the unlikliest to happen.

Agree with JS.

People focus too much on our OOC performance. The Stags are not a top 25 program playing for a 1 or 2 seed. They are also not playing for an at large bid, as that never happens in the MAAC. They are playing for a MAAC championship and automatic NCAA berth, and they are 0-1 toward that objective.

If you want to argue the bad OOC record hurts their chances for an NIT bid, fine, I will agree with that.

Can anyone remember what the OOC record of the last 3 MAAC championship teams has been? Neither can I. It doesn't really matter much.

I think the importance of OOC games is for NIT, RPI, and NCAA, as a good OOC could get you a 12 seed, while a bad one will get you a 16 Seed. And for a Mid Major, I think the players like to play the top competition in the OOC games.

But I agree the MAAC season is much more important. And should be treated as such. I do not think playing 1-2 MAAC games in December is a good idea, as the OOC games that come after it might not have the same intensity...... unless we were 7-0 or 6-1 at this point.

Tonights game is more about us getting back on the right track and building a winning mentality. I am sure Fordham is thinking the same thing.

Losing the game was not as big an issue as the way we lost...... that was most disappointing.

I do not know how many defensive stops we actually had as most fans described the scenario as we either fouled them, or they made the shot...... and if they did not, then they got the o-board and putback. But from the stats, Fordham missed 28 shots and had 13 o-boards..... that calculates to about 15 stops.

Not being able to stop an opponent has to be #1 priority.
