Last night Geoff Middleton gave the stags the kind of performance I think we need to get from him if this team is going to win. Yes, Geoff is not going to be all Maac this season. But if he can play solid defense, Box out and rebound, and hit a few open shots every game, that's all the stags need to get from him. While a lot of attention has been on the role Todd, MVS and Han played last night, stags will win a lot of games if the Stags can get solid performance from the center position.
Middleton went 2-2 from the floor, blocked 4 shots and got 3 rebounds. Carter played all but 2 of the remaining minutes at center he went 2-3 with 3 rebounds. Thats a line of 4-5, 6 rebounds, and 4 blocks from the center position. Not all Maac numbers, particularly the rebounding, but a solid performance from the center position.

Geoff definitely had a nice effort yesterday. He set the defense tone and was a big part of the second half surge that put the game away. I think he earned some more minutes after that performance. Keep it up Geoff!!!

We can hope that this positive game will give him confidence.

Be aggressive, defend, rebound (box-out - don't worry about who gets it as long as its FU) and don't be afraid to take the GOOD shot.
