Is that all of the actors who get shorted on time and story make the absolute most of whatever time they get.

I agree that Ric and Sonny's story parallels what I'd love to see from AJ and Jason. I don't see TPTB taking out AJ for good, and even if they do, he could always come back from the dead if they can get Billy back or find a suitable recast. Both Jason and AJ have a lot of room for growth, both separately and together. I actually see Jason and AJ as very much like Alan and Tracy. Tracy, no matter how hard she tried, was never going to be Edward's "son," so she scams and schemes and wins a few and loses a few, and we love her. Alan used to be independent and volatile and not-so-much up to the task of being Edward's son except for getting led by his dick, plus, he always had this ethical streak.

But, for this generation, Alan is Lila (loves all the kids) and Monica is Edward.
