1. Tina and Cord. In more years than I can remember, these two kept finding themselves unable to stay away from each other. Yet, somehow, I-Tina-Take-You-Cord chose Kane Rogan over back-from-the-dead-Cord. Then, with Kane out of the picture, lame-assed recast Tina and Cord leave town at about the same time. Just not together. Oh, and now Tina's some kind of MIA Mom. As if.
2. Andrew and Cassie. I liked the Reverend and Mrs. Dweeb. Yes, LK and KS had some chemistry, but that didn't mean Kevin had to wreck Cassie's marriage. LK is a good actress. She worked well with RSW, RS, pretty much everyone, and KS worked well with a number of leading ladies. So, yeah, stick these two together. Make them look like callous assholes. Then recast Kevin with Princess Turtlehead who looks like a lilliputian next to LK (not a praticularly big girl - Timmy's just TINY. Not to mention ugly), and, uh, fire LK. Never show Andrew again. They could have left together, but noooooo.
3. The Holdens. Why? STK, you already mentioned Gabby and Max, but gee whiz....
4. Cris and Jess, part I. Before they didn't get to leave together, there was the matter of their first reunion and their first time having sex together. I had wanted to see this "first love" story play out well. Break them up later, if necessary, but give them their "Splendor in the Grass" moment. So, they do it. Cris has a secret about sWilbur the date raper, and Jess is secretly pining for sWilbur the date-raper. Thanks for the payoff.
Rauch had a lot of issues, but he knew how to stop a wedding mid-ceremony. On OLTL, I'm looking back at about 15 years of unromantic shit with a few accidental pairing that were immediately FUBARed to kingdom come. Oh, and I-Tina-Take-You-Cord and Tina walking in and fainting at the Cord-Kate wedding were soooo much better than Todd turns Blair in to the cops and Margaret kidnaps and rapes Todd, don't you think?
