  • Portia lifted her dark eyes upto him as he opened up the door, watchin him silently a moment before she spoke. It was awkward to come now... but she had only just gone home and reclaimed her baby after she had finished school six months ago... and it had taken this time to rebuild the bonds with her child enough fo him to feel safe with her. She had needed that before she came looking for Adam. "Hey Adam... " Her tone was laced with her italian accent, smooth- and a little unsure. She met his gaze however, never the wall flower. • She hesitated at his stammering, not sure if he'd changed his mind about all of this now that he was faced with the reality of the situation... but she followed him in all the same, pursing her lips softly as she recalled the last, and only, time she had been here- bearing her bad news. • The little boy was staring up at that stranger from where he had his head burried in Portia's neck. He had always been a fairly outgoing little boy but since they had moved here it was all a little much for him and he was taking some time to adjust. "Well... we just got back to the states a couple of days ago... and I thought you wanted to see him..." She wanted to make everything right for her child... she'd been selfish in passing him off to her parents- it would have been a whole lie and he would never have forgiven her when he was older... and she missed him more than she ever thought she could have. • "Wow..really? I mean .. yeah, of course." He found all of this a little hard to believe, but he wasn't about to question her motives. He got to be with his son. "Can ..can I hold him?" • He hadn't wanted to witness the birth. Things might have been so different if he had. But she was putting all that behind her- they had both been young and they had both screwed up... but now was the chance to fix it before it was too late. She glanced down to the little boy who was clinging to her unsurely watching the man, and she glanced back to Adam appologetically. "He might not let you... he's shy of strangers... if you let him settle in about though, he'll be fine..." • A smile touched her lips and she nodded a touch. She had matured a great deal in the last two years too... and she really was trying her hardest to make this right. "I'm in no rush now... we can spend the afternoon with you if you want..." She drew her long hair back from her face and hitched the boy up on her hip a little. • She nodded a touch at that, smiling a little as she offered him the babies diaper bag tentatively. She would stay here too... it wouldn't be fair tot he little boy to leave him with a total stranger. "Theres some toys in there for him... and some baby proofing stuff too... he's just finding his feet and he's good at getting himself into trouble." She smiled a touch as she glanced down at her son affectionately, hesitating before heading through to the lounge unsurely "Is he okay in here?" She didn;t want him wrecking anything... • It was strange... and a little uncomfortable- for her at least- but she was trying hard to start afresh and put old differences behind them for Leo's sake. She set the little boy on the blanket as tried not to notice the tears that shone in his big brown eyes, sitting down on the floor beside him, glancing up at Adam "He's not doing so well with the move... I think he misses my parents... " It wasn;t suprising- they had raised him for six months of his life while she;d been here finishing school. "Can you get the blue rabbit from his bag?" She didn;t meet his eyes as she asked. It had been the toy Adam had almost begged her to send to his son when she had refused to let him see him... the soft blue rabbit looked a little worse for wear now though- one of its ears was limp and had hald the stuffing missing and his arm was loose- Leo rarely put it down. • He smiled a little at the mere mention of the toy and even more so when he pulled it from the bag - he hadn't thought she'd even bother sending it to the child, and hearing that it was the one thing that settled him tugged at his heart strings. he hadned the small toy over to his son, a genuine smile reaching his lips. He'd been around Izzy and Toby enough times this year and now, he was rather good with children. He ducked his head abit so he was at Leo's level, waiting for him to accept the toy "Hey you.." • Portia watched the pair of them, blinking back the own tears that stung her eyes for a second as she watched her little boy reach for the toy, mumbling uncertainly in italian to his father. Portia glanced to Adam and then to Leo, speaking to him softly in Italian, telling the little boy to say thank you, to which the little boy glanced upto his mother, and then to his father as he hugged the rabbit to his his chest, murmering a thank you in italian. She smiled a touch and glanced upto Adam, shrugging her shoulders appologetically "We're working on his English... he understands it... he just doesnt speak it so well..." • She glanced upto Adam and grinned a little, Adam would soon pick up bits of the language from Leo, and probably her too. Leo's nanny had been italian but her parents spoke english- her mother was american afterall- and so leo often switched between the two languages but favoured Italian. " She shrugged her shoulders and reached into the bag for the boys juice "Is it alright if I use your bathroom? If he starts to cry just play aeroplanes with him or give him his juice... • She smiled a touch and crouched down to Leo, kissing his head and telling him she;'d be back in a second. She headed towards the bathroom, leaving Adam in charge of their son. The little boy stared up at his father unsurely, his large brown eyes identical to Portia's staring up at him- btu in almost every other way- save for his olive skin tones- he looked just like Adam. He watched him a moment longer before pushing himself forward onto all fours and then straightened his back legs, pushing himself up unsteadily and glancing to his father again. He clung onto his bunny by its ear and padded unsteadily to the diaper bag, reaching for the little tub that held little chunks of melon and looking to Adam, saying "mine" and "want" in his native tongue.
