Its a great scene because anyone watching is truly an outsider not directly affected by the models at all. In effect, we all see this bordering on absurdity. Having learned mimetic theory before seeing, I cannot know what I would have thought about this scene without it, but I probably would not have understood a whiff of it. I would, as I have already, most likely make a prohibition on what I saw. I would not want to be a part of that circle in the least.
