In Germany, we had some cases of Amok runners who killed and injured people with Samurai swords in the last years. The last of these cases happened yesterday in Stuttgart. The man was from India, but I think the other cases were Germans. If these people possessed guns, there would be probably even more victims.

One German Christian newspaper observed that there is a recent outbreak of "sword-movies" in the cinemas, as always starting from Hollywood: "Matrix Reloaded," "Kill Bill," "The Last Samurai," "The Lord of the Rings" etc. and killing with swords seems to fascinate people currently.
