Subject: Differences between USA and the rest of us

I found an interesting essay titled Made in USA. If you have some time, let me know whether you as Americans would agree or not.

I once saw an interview with a German movie director where he explained the difference between Americans and Germans in how they make special effect scenes such as a car crashing into a building and explode. The Americans have the "just let's do it" approach. They buy a real car and crash it into a real house, they don't think much about it. The Germans have the approach "let's think about it" and think for weeks how they can do this without having to crash a real car, they experiment with miniature models and trick effects until they have done the same with very little money. That's one observation that is also mentioned in the essay.
