So you two at least found one common ground ;-)
You have to know that I actually wanted to become a comic-strip artist at age of 13 or so. Together with 2 friends, we operated a "publishing company" which was able to sell the first and last edition of our comic series at a school festivity day, produced with an old mimeograph machine. Herge (the author of Tin Tin which is called "Tim & Struppi" in Germany) was my great role model. I heard he spend a whole year on a ship in order to be able to realistically paint the ocean. I thought that comic artist would be an interesting job ;-) Tin Tin is great, but I like Asterix more because it is more humourous. At least the volumes when Goscinny was still living. Uderzo is good as an artist, but without Goscinny, Asterix would have never become so famous.
