Subject: What to do as a Christian in politics?

Just quit? Abstain from all votes on all legislation (tantamount to quitting)? The modern relativist says "you can't legislate morality." Is MacArthur agreeing with that? Or is he just saying that Christians can't be political activists?

Jesus said something about being "salt and light." I think part of being "salt and light," as Francis Schaeffer kept expounding, is preserving and standing for absolute truths and absolute morals in the modern and postmodern world that wants to jettison both. That includes presenting a gospel that is free of watered down morality (as MacArthur commendably does), but I don't think you can exclude political action from that.
