Annd! I know what's been happening - finally! Voy is archiving our posts (for some unknown reason... O.o) They're still there, but they're in the archive of the board which you can access. So, yeah. Just in case that happens again... *gonna try and look into it*))

.. Even if words and intent alone could have slain a mortal, they probably wouldn't have even been enough to stagger an immortal (unfortunately). The more that Pheonix struggled, the stronger Dorjan's grip on the younger man's arm he took. At this point in the game, Dorjan wasn't too worried about any damage that the other might be subjected to; he was far too interested in his own goals.
His smirk crawled ever wider, "I'd be even more flattered if you'd stop acting like the lamb the wolf's after and start being the one that was already felled." Oh, the overtones on that little bit of dialogue were almost too obvious for Dorjan to even relish minutely in them; it just wasn't worth the extra effort. He was trying to speak plainly enough for the other to follow, seeing as he obviously didn't have that large of a brain to understand that everything he was doing at this point was only futile.
Dorjan almost laughed at the most recent comment, his arm still snatching after the annoyingly free arm in the process. "Anubis is nothing more than a gatekeeper, silly boy; a rather large puppy if you would. He likes to play fetch for Osiris and that's about it. Threats of that nature don't go far enough when I've already got the hounds of hell under my control."
The kick the vampire simply stood through, growling a little in simple annoyance. It hurt, but not so much for him to release the other without purpose. The only thing that the kick achieved in other sense was a startling increase in the pressure on the arm that was in the vampire's grasp. At this rate, things would be broken for certain if Pheonix kept this up. ..

((Glad to hear that your life's getting better...I swear mine seems to determined to get worse O_o. Ah well, at least we know what's been happening to our posts. really weird though))
Phoenix gave an annoyed sigh before freezing again. Since Dorjan obviously didn't care if he broke something,the tightening of his grip proof of this, then the mage decided that he'd just have to stand still for now. Ok, maybe not completely still, but whatever.
At the vampire's mocking words his glare increased tenfold. "As much as you'd like that, I'm not one to simply roll over," he snarled with ill temper at Dorjan. 'no matter how much it might hurt,' his subconscious added its two cents to the comment.
of course he knew Anubis was not one of the more frightening of Underworld gods, but he'd hoped the other hadn't known that. "I'm sure he'd be thrilled to hear himself addressed as a puppy, and I'd be careful in saying that you have all the hounds of hell under your control...you might have missed a few, besides not all of the canines in hell are hounds," the snarl was more pronounced, and part of Phoenix's mind longed to rip the vampire's throat out...not that that could actually be accomplished...But one could dream, no?
At the increased pressure the mage swore he heard something creak ominously, and he let out a very pronounced hiss of pain...if this kept up much longer he was going to give into the oblivion of unconsciousness that hovered just beyond his reach.

((Please don't fear, I am still around most definitely. Unfortunately, finals have snuck up on me as well as end of term stress. On the bright side, it's all over for this year in about two weeks. ^.^;
I am so incredibly sorry for kicking off for so long. I hope to get a post done by the time I head off back home. Either way, before or after, I will have more time soon.))
