With a deep, trembling breath, he held her close for another few long minutes before he released her in order to go about straightening up the mess he had made. It was good for him to have something to focus on, it made his thoughts not run so wild. He listened to what she had to say before he let out a gush of a breath and turned to look at her once more. "I didnae think he would even care enough to confront me." He murmured softly, his brow furrowed just a little as he thought about the way that Dane had looked and sounded, like he was truly baffled by the situation that they found themselves in. How did his older brother thing that things would turn out? Kaden wasn't the type to just slink away and hide in the shadows until he was acknowledged. He would be included in his position as Prince or he would make his own way in the world. It just so happened that the latter was what had happened. When everything was cleaned up, he sighed and ran a hand over his face, his eyes narrowing for a second. "Och, lass, ye got him good didnae ye?" Smiling softly, he walked over to her again, lifting his hand to cup her jaw so he could lean down and brush a friendly kiss across her lips, as he would any other female that he knew. Kaden wasn't shy with his affections and that was becoming more and more apparant as his maturity escalated. "Ye should go soak in a bath, aye? Relax a bit and then we'll sup." She had gotten distressed and that meant that he wanted to soothe her - never forgetting his vow to make sure she was comfortable and happy as could be at all times. Letting his hand run down her arm, he squeezed her hand. "Donnae fash, lass, I will be alright now. Thank ye." He really did appreciate her coming to him in his rage, he had a feeling that if she hadn't he would still be up here brooding.
