Matt,

I understand your concern and frustration with the skunks digging under your porch. A licensed nuisance wildlife trapper can solve your problem. There is not much you can do in this situation. I do not advise placing mothballs or ammonia in the hole as it could kill the skunks and then the smell will be there for quite sometime to come. Ask the licensed nuisance wildlife technician about trapping and permanent exclusion.

If you have pets, use caution when letting them out after dark. Skunks may spray when frightened and a dog would be a target for a skunk.
