Subject: Badger under Porch

We live in Des Plaines, Illinois. This past weekend, We had a Badger (so my husband said, I did not know they were around here) but anyway, it got trapped in our basement window sill (which sits down in like a metal hole.) This particular window sits under an extended porch. Anyway, it tore our screen apart, it tried to get in the house I guess when he put the light on in the basement. My husband said the animal was making a high pitched cry sound.

He was able to put a stick out the window and the animal crawled back up under the porch. My ques: Do you think the Badger is still living under our porch or do they usually run away when they are free. I have three toddler who play in the backyard and I am worried that the animal is still there.

Could you email me your response too so I don't miss it. Thx!
