"Awe, poor baby, then you would come home all stinky and yucky, I would have to hose you down before you could even come in and then you'd be all squooshy and squishy and that wouldn't be pleasant at all." She tilted her head, her brow furrowed. "I want to read a book you've written in the past, have you finished one yet?" She didn't really know anything about his career, she stayed away from that topic.
