** Operation Santa Claus **

Seasons Greetings!
As many of you already know we are located in an area (eastern NC) that's seen it's share of hurricanes and we have some idea of the suffering and devastation that has taken place! As part of the pageant community we also wanted to do something to help, to try and make a difference, to bring a small ray of hope and joy to everyone who has been devastated by this storm! With all the relief efforts going on around the country and the world we decided to look ahead and see what would be needed in the months to come! It didn't take long to realize that Christmas is only 4 months away..........for us....almost to soon but for the victims and their families Christmas is not even a consideration at this point in time! With all the relief efforts going on around the world we decided to start "Operation Santa Claus"! We, our state queens along with all our preliminaries have started toy drives in our area and across the state of North Carolina! We will collect NEW, UNWRAPPED toys from now until the end of November! At the end of November we will arrange for these toys to be shipped directly to either the red cross or to a centralized collection facility! Now, many of you are probably already involved in some kind of relief effort already and we understand the importance of each of these projects. All we want to do is to ask each and every pageant and/or pageant system across the country to hold similar drives in their communities! Pageants have, in the past, been given a bad reputation in some cases and we want to show that they can also be a positive influence for our young ladies and young gentlemen! Please pass this information along to all your pageant contacts, together we can help bring a small measure of love and compassion to the ones that need it the most!
