I know! That little movie AND SHOP have been my inspiration. A year ago last August I opened the tiniest little candle and gift shop in the little town where I taught for 27 years. Its name is Shady Peanut Lane, and I chose it because my grandfather took me as a little girl on his tractor to the woods to look for cattle, and we always had alittle frolic and picnic in a shady glen called (by him) Shady Peanut Lane. When that shop is all aglow and the candles smelling so divine.... I am quite thrilled with the whole thing.. The $ isn't so hot!!! Rent, phone, inventory!!! alas!

But in Chocolat, that shop and the candy making scenes are fabulous. I love her attitude, too... And landing Johnny Depp is only a side bar!!!! Wow!!!!
