What a "to the point" question. I will be interested to see what everyone thinks about this. Because I always think I need what I want... I have been accused of being spoiled! Gasp! I started in '96, as I mentioned in one of my earlier notes to you, Alison, with reading this book every year. I have made a habit of writing in the margins often and dating my entries.. It is so amazing to read those and see how I have remained constant and then how I shift from night to day on some ideas. One year I wrote all about how if I married a certain man, I'd have silver bowls and yellow roses a la "First Knight" movie... and then the next year I wrote "Screw that! He has hurt me very badly this year!" haha... and all those little marginal notes were eight and seven years ago! I would think it would have been difficult for Joanna to stay authentic with all those moves, but maybe that forced her to discover the real Joanna and only move what defined her????? It is late, and I am freezing in here... My bedroom doesn't catch the heat like the rest of the house... so I'll say goodnight. ----G
