Okay.... I never heard it described so well... and never heard a name put to it, but I do totally understand what you mean and the look/style/natural peel plus shock you describe. Is that a real style yet or are you on the cutting edge of being the pioneer of that look? I think it is awesome... It's all a matter of what speaks to a person. Pink and green (together) in baby soft hues spoke to my blessed grandmother, and delft blue and white speaks to my mother, so those two separate "looks" speak to me because I adore them both... However, it is as if they are translated through them and my memories of Mom and Gramma... and what is actually speaking MY language is much bolder, some of what I call VIBRANT fall colors with a little bit of jewel purples... and then maybe some bleached out wooden items.. and navies, browns, taupes.... grrrrr... when I describe it, it vanishes!!! I dunno... But I'd love to see more of that dirty opulent look... How cool.

It is kind of the Old world look as translated through a cottage by the sea... I can see the woman who lives there as a strong, long skirted one with healthy arms and a mysterious smile... kind of the "witch" on Thomasina thing going on... Geez Louise, Alison... you have my brain switched into bounce mode with that new pic and posting!!! And it is ten minutes until three a.m. and I am getting up early to bake my dad a pan of brownies... for "heart" day... haha... I will have to dream about a taking a nap in that room with the awesome fireplace mantel.... night all!
