Hello, Everybody!

I am feeling very grateful this morning. I was given an extra day off today because the school I work for is fabulous!!! I teach only half days, and they decided to run the schedule backwards so they didn't miss so often for the afternoon classes!!! That means I don't need to go in PLUS Monday is a holiday for President's Day.. I get a surprise four day weekend. Oh, Girls, I needed that so much. I had been feeling just simply wretched... so tired I couldn't move and almost drugged out!!! I slept today an extra three hours and took a scorching hot shower then... and Voila! I am ready to tackle something fun today.

On my list is to clean a bit (as always) and to decorate for St. Patrick's Day and for Easter. I have a wonderful little leprechaun collection. They are mostly very old and that cheap kind of figure that used to be popular in the fifties... Little guys all painted different shades of green, yellow, even black and orange... They sit around a small replica my son made of Stonehenge. He did that when he was a very little boy for a school project, so some of the stones are truly distressed by now! I have bunnies and a collection of Snowbunnies that I bought on a big pamper-me day with my parents at an auction... They go on the mantle in the living room, and I usually weave some white shabby silk roses and ivy along with them.... FOr the past three years I haven't put them out... too something (bored, lazy, depressed, tired, or sick???) but this seems like the perfect day for getting ready for Spring. I think we'll have more snow, but I am getting ready anyway... Wonder what I could cook that says Spring???? dunno...

Hope everyone is doing okay.
