She felt like they were letting Jesse go so that she could have one last time at home and it hurt so bad she could hardly breathe, much less swallow her food. She bit her lip a little, trying to keep the tears from falling down her cheeks, instead just holding them barely back. he watched her from the corner of his eye as he himself tried to forse the food down, almost choking on it as he struggled to swallow. He felt exactly the same as she did - he could see it in the doctors eyes when she told them they could take Jessie home for the night , with that sad sympathetic smile. He'd tried hard not to let the tears spill- trying to be strong and hopeful for his daughter and her mother, but Jessie had caught him crying at her bedside once or twice- it made him feel so guilty.
