Work and family and friends meant nothing when you're baby girl was possibly dying... he would trade all of it in- he would give his own life, just to be able to do something to save her. He knew it would be easier for Ash if it was him- there would be more justice in it- he'd done pleanty to deserve it- Jessie was just so young- and so loved. He was constantly fighting his tears- fighting breaking down and screaming with his every last breath for this to be made right- but there was nothing he could do this time- he was helpless- they all were. She looked up at him when he pushed away the plate, nodding her agreement and letting her barely touched food rest along side his before she leaned back in the couch. "I think she'll get more rest in her own bed then at the hospital..." She stated briefly, thoughtfully, her head cocked to the side before she looked over at him, her lip tucked between her teeth as she suddenly spoke. Maybe if the girl had a healthier family life, maybe it had been something in the water in Texas maybe...maybe something she had done that brought this upon her little girl and maybe if she had just toughed it out despite his mother and despite the way she had been treated when she was pregnant then maybe their little girl would be ok...
