Flee, which was nominated in three categories, didn't win anything. I was glad Dune at least got a lot of the technical awards and also best score. I wanted more for Belfast. But the show, well, Will Smith was an ass. Let Jada fight her own battles, she's tough. Seriously, it almost ruined the documentary category--congrats to Questlove though.

Best film, CODA. I was so happy with their win, a much better film than Power of the Dog. V disappointed with Will Smith being honored with the win, not deserved. I was hoping for Denzel. And Kristin Stuart too.
Will & Chris dust-up? Ah well, one more nail in that awards shows coffin.

nominees and I thought that mess made it kind of a bummer for the nominees, but then Questlove gave his beautiful acceptance speech (even though I was rooting for Flee) and I think that took some of the focus off the preceding bad behavior. But that craziness may actually bring more eyes to the event in the future for better or worse. Twitter almost broke when that happened LOL! I hope I'll get to see CODA at some point. It's not available outside of a subscription right now. Maybe it will get back in the theaters for a limited run.
