Subject: Movie Monday! What did you see this weekend? I saw two

movies. The first one was House of Gucci, which even my other half watched (he's not as into movies as I am) and he even loved it. It was over-the-top, but very entertaining and the performances were nominated in various other awards shows, but not the Oscars. I loved Gaga, Adam Driver and an unrecognizable Jared Leto. Great locations, costumes and makeup too!
The second one was Drive My Car, a Japanese film in subtitles that was rather long, but another beautifully shot film showcasing various parts of Japan. The two lead actors, especially Hidetoshi Nishijima, were very good. The story is about a stage actor and director who learns to cope with his wife's unexpected passing when he receives an offer to direct a production of Uncle Vanya in Hiroshima. His hired driver is also dealing with some grief/guilt issues. they eventually bond in their despair.

I watched the first ep of season 2 Bridgerton. It was unimpressive. Want to watch The Lost Daughter now.
