Wow!.....that was totally unexpected!! Nature of the Game on the new CD?! Awesome! It'll be very cool to finally have a well mixed version.

Is anyone else surprised? Last week, after the clip of Growing Time was released, I was thinking about what other tunes might show up on the CD. Thought of the unreleased songs he's done on tour, and other titles I know are copyrighted but not released, and made a list just for fun. Nature of the Game, along with Fire and Ice, were the first two that I crossed off the list.

Figured for sure those two wouldn't be included. Not that I didn't want them to be.....they just didn't fit with the theme I assumed he was going for. Thought this CD would be on the lighter side, in the vein of the three songs that we already knew about. Apparently I assumed wrong....LOL.....Dan is full of surprises.

:)

I hope Dan included the very sensual song he did in concert one year. All I remember of the lyrics was something like "I touch your shoulder with the tip of my tongue" ohhhlala sexy lyrics in that one. I remember it had a good melody too.

Bianca, that's A Love Beyond Time. That line is in the 3rd verse.

"I trace your cheekbone with the edge of my thumb.
I taste your shoulder with the tip of my tongue.
I smell the fragrance in your hair of the sun and sea,
of the sun on the sea."

There's more where that came from if you'd like it.

Hey Bianca, I'm hoping "A Love Beyond Time" is included also. It's a beautiful song! And, lucky you, getting to hear it live....cool. Hey, do you happen to recall if Dan gave it any kind of introduction? Silly question, I know....it was a long time ago....but just thought I'd ask anyway. I'm really intrigued by that song.

Well, so far, we've got:

Sometimes a Song
Love in Time
A Growing Time
Nature of the Game

Going with the feel of the first three songs, I thought "A Love Beyond Time" would fit perfectly. I still do. And mountainbird, I also think there's a good chance of getting your request of "I Need You". Since there's supposed to be two covers on the CD, that would be a beautiful one to include.

As I said before, I was a little thrown by the addition of "Nature of the Game" (kinda changes the theme a bit...lol), but I'm NOT complaining. It's about time that one made it to a CD. His bluesy vocals on that just blow me away!

Looking forward to seeing what other surprises await us. But even though I'm really curious, I actually hope Jean doesn't post any more clips. I want to hear the rest of the surprises when I put the CD on for the first time. And I know I don't have the willpower not to listen if she posts more.

Anyway, I'm getting really excited about this CD now. Only a month away. It's sounds great so far, and no matter what else is on it, I know I'm gonna love it!

Kelly
