Yeah, it's kinda cool about the horse named in honor of Dan, especially since this one is owned by a friend of his. I think the last horse I remember hearing about was "Join in the Dance", which is a really great name. I don't think the owners had any connection to Dan other than being a fan, though.

I really like the new photo of Dan too. It's from a 1997 show in Springfield, Illinois. Figured it was time to take down the Christmas banner. Although, we still have our Christmas tree up at home. It's holding it's own so far, but it is beginning to look a little dry. Guess we'll have to take it down soon.

Well, mine is still up. Of course, it's artificial. And Dan kept his up until April. So you're in good company.

Hey Mary, glad to know you're a tree keeper too. I couldn't help but smile when Jean shared that with us about Dan, because our tree is always up way past Christmas also. I've never known anyone else who does that. Most folks we know put their tree up early and toss it out the day after Christmas, or by New Year's Day. But at our house, we all hate to see it go. As long as it still looks pretty and the needles aren't falling off in droves.... We've never made it to April, but we did have one up until the middle of March once.
