I have been a busy online consumer lately :-) I have purchased the following...

*two copies of the Portland magazine
*a bench from Red Rocks Amphitheatre (they are replacing the originals)
*custom-made Converse Chucks with a personalization of "Go Green"
*Life is Good brand tee shirts because Life IS Good!!
*made reservations in Moab, UT for when we visit Arches Nat'l Park in June

and am looking forward to purchasing copies of Jean's children's book!

The first time I heard Jim Wilsons version of Dancing Shoes-I was in my car--had to pull over. I sat there with tears in my eyes-it was such a beautiful rendition and tribute to Dan... Jim Wilson made a beautiful tribute to Dan with all the songs-its interesting to hear different versions of his songs--there will never be another like him...Dan's melodies, instrumentals, harmonies and his voice (I just LOVE the tone and quality of his voice!!) He was jusr pure genius!!! I listen to Dan everyday--This week I am marvelling over Nexus--a very complex piece--its just so--Dan!!!!

Hey Diney,

Glad to hear life is treating you well. A bench from Red Rocks? That's a pretty unique purchase! Wish I could have seen Dan at Red Rocks. I've never been there, but would still like to see it some day. Did you see him there?

I haven't heard about Jean's children's book. What's that all about. Do you have any more info on it?

Yes, we saw Dan at Red Rocks two times, plus another concert. I like to go there when we visit our son in the Denver area.

Jean shares the book info on her Facebook page.

There are a couple new photos at the official website, if you havent been there lately. The pics are under Jean's personal gallery.

Have u seen the petition to induct DF into the Rock Hall of Fame? It has over 6,000 esignatures on it.

Thanks, Diney! I haven't joined facebook, so I can't see Jean's posts there. I appreciate the link. What a great story of how the book came to be. And it's a cool thing for Jean and her sisters to do for their mom. I'll be sure to buy a few copies for gifts when it comes out.

I did see the petition and the latest photos, but thanks for mentioning them anyway. Not sure how much good the petition will do, but it's still interesting, and nice to see how many folks have come out in support of Dan.

The new photos are both beautiful. I especially like the one of Dan on the train - interesting lighting, and such a pensive mood. The other one, with Buckaroo, is really sweet. And speaking of Buckaroo....now that Jean has gone through the publishing process with her mom's book, maybe she'll be inspired to get Dan's Buckaroo Boone book published. That would be very cool. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Kelly
