Date Posted: 07:26:05 04/20/05 Wed hey Chip ive seen the pics of your car on the rear wheels(cool)i have a 70 chevelle with a 396 on a 150 shot and the car wants to pick the left side up alot higher than the right.i would like for it to lift up even.it tends to go to the right side sometimes and i haved to steer it back strait.(lifting the pedal to do so)ive got the trick springs,eldabrock adj.uppers,factory rear sway bar.energy susp.bushings,also we just installed new strange spool and axles(havent got to try it yet)if you dont mind tellin me what ya use i would greatly appreciate it. I WOULD SUGGEST YOU UPGRADE TO THE LARGEST SWAY BAR YOU CAN GET. AND ON THE STEERING TO ONE SIDE AFTER YOU LAUNCH WAIT TILL YOU GET THE SPOOL AND STUFF IN THEN SEE WHAT IT DOES. Date Posted: 16:09:18 04/15/05 Fri PRESS RELEASE: Deal Pending! A contract agreement has been made between Lone Star Raceway Park and Mr. Michael Wear for the purchase of the facility. It is scheduled to go to closing on April 28th. In our meeting this morning, we talked in detail about the direction he plans to take Lone Star. I was very impressed with his enthusiasm and future plans for the track. Mike said "Rest assure, all I want to do is to add to Lone Star's existing program." He further said that he will have an open door policy and is looking forward to meeting each and everyone! We just wanted to keep everyone abreast of what was going on. Hey I was wondering if you thought the converter I've got now would be in the hunt for a 496? I have an 80 Lemans (looks like a Malibu), weighs 3500 lbs with me. Had a Cad 500 that went 10.50's on motor. That converter would go to 4400 on the brake. It was pretty torquey for no more than it had. Do you think that with a 496 similar to what you had that would be too much for a 250HP shot; or is it close? It is a "Munsinger" 8" unit. Do you even think that's enough converter for just the "motor"? Just curious what you thought. Hope your not letting all this crap on HRG get to you. I'm not from your area; but I used to keep up with that site. It's pretty pathetic; noticed most of the trash that posts on there, doesn't have the guts to put their name next to their statements. Cowards. I don't know all the particulars of ya'lls CF scrap and it's none of my business either. But it looks like to me that it's guy's like you and that"Cat-Dog" car that most people are coming to see. 10.5 cars are the hot thing; no one care about ex-super gas cars and stuff that looks like "Racecars". What brings people out is to see guys "hang" it up high and nearly out of control. That's the bottom line. That's what spectators want. Looks like Joe has a lot to lose. The way I see it; it's guys with the wheel standers that gets the attention and by driving a few of you guys away; he's getting away from his basic underlying "draw" to get spectators to his events.
