I have to agree that it is a shame that WTFC seem to be on a downward spiral. The club was once feared by other teams who would more often than not, go to Cuthbury with a "play for a point" attitude but these days clubs really believe they can go there and get something out of the game. This demonstrates how the club has simply stagmented over recent years whilst others are improving.
I wouldnt say that the players leaving the club are no good, far from it, but every player at some stage will fall out of favour with their current manager who believes they can have or do have better in their squad.
Smith, Kearns and Barnes are prime examples of players who have moved on and are still doing a good job in well organised sides at this level and I would expect Sam P and Ollie P-M to do the same and wish them all the best.
Having said all this, I do think that the winnning formula for a championship winning side must have a good blend of young and old, otherwise, there is no progression for the club. Only time will tell though but on the current state of affairs, I cant see things improving drastically as one would hope.
