Subject: Farewell to Florida

Tomorrow is moving day! We'll be traveling to our new home in Poulsbo, WA, all next week, and may not have computers set up for awhile after we arrive, so I'll be "away" from the Files for the next couple of weeks. Moving is SO stressful! I can't believe all the boxes around here--or that we still have so much stuff after two clean sweeps! Where does it all come from? :-P If I never see another cardboard box it will be too soon!

We are so excited about our new home and community. Poulsbo is a quaint little waterfront town across Puget Sound from Seattle. We have a rooftop deck with a view of the marina and bay, and our backyard has a real babbling brook! There are flowers and fruit trees galore in our yard, and we're just a short walk away from the cute little downtown with restaurants, galleries and shops. For big city stuff, Seattle is just a ferry ride away. There's natural beauty surrounding us on all sides--and cooler summers! :-) Yeah, I know, cooler (and wetter) winters too! That's OK, we've stored up LOTS of sunshine in the last 14 years here in Florida!

Take care everyone and have a safe 4th of July! I'll be back in a few weeks with pics and an update on our road trip & move.

[> [> Hi everyone! Just checking in from Grammy's house in Scottsdale, AZ! We're doing fine--tired of traveling, but all is OK. We'll be leaving here tomorrow morning for CA, then north through OR to WA. Can't wait to get to the Pacific Northwest and cooler weather. It was 113 here in AZ yesterday! It's great to see DaxGram and Benji though--tomorrow is DaxGram's 86th birthday so feel free to post her a birthday greeting here. I'll check in again after our computers are set up in Poulsbo. Take care--see you soon! -- Lynn, 14:29:31 07/07/07 Sat [1]
