Subject: We think we chose the perfect place for us, Carrie Jo. Close to Seattle (hour and half), yet so very far away in other ways. We had over five years to plan and "town shop" and we knew exactly what we were looking for. Once we decided on Poulsbo, and knew we wanted a house within walking distance of the quaint little downtown, it was just a matter of waiting for the right house in that neighborhood to go on the market. We actually bought our house before stepping a foot in it. Our nephew in Seattle was our realtor, and we have a very good friend in Pousbo--they met up and videotaped a room-to-room walking tour, also including the awesome backyard with a year-round stream babbling and meandering through it. We received the DVD the next day by Fed Ex. Within ten minutes of watching the video, we had an offer worked out with our nephew. By that night we had a signed contract on the house! That was last February. We moved here in mid-July, and spent the most glorious summer & fall ever exploring this beautiful area. We had been warned about the gloomy and wet winter, but it wasn't bad at all. Can you tell we love it here? :)
