Joey was all about getting as much sleep as he could at night. Dakota woke up about every two to three hours and cried quietly until she was fed or changed or just paid attention too. A yawn escaped his lips even though he had gotten just as much rest as she had - he had worked all day long. The company had offered to let him off on paternity leave but he couldn't give up that many paychecks especially with a new baby. Dakota was cuddled against his chest, comfortable curled up with her daddy, falling asleep to the sound of his heart beating. She smiled at that and nodded in agreement- she was really looking forward to watching her grow into a little person, learning her first words and laughing and walking... it was just such an exciting time ahead of them "I know...
