"If he's such a nice guy, Lacey, why is this the first we have heard of him?" What would there be to hide if Lacey didn't see anything wrong with the guy? It wasn't just protecting Lacey he was concerned about - there were some kids here that probably had warrents out for them, they couldn't stand for outside interference...
