  • She could feel her lower lip start to tingle and the tears stung at her eyes but she refused point blank to show it. She wouldn;t normally be so easily hurt but he meant a lot to her- and as much as compliments meant more coming from him- the hurt from that was twice as strong. She kept her gaze fixed on the Tv and set her jaw strongly, swallow hard. She didn;t cry. The last time she had cried had been her fourteenth birthday, and she'd toughened up since then.
