 Does anyone remember the baseball trips with the Eastchester Recreation Department? I remember going to the Polo Grounds to see the NY Giants baseball team. I guess since the Giants left NY City in 1958, the trip would have been a few years before they moved. I don't remember taking any recreation trips to Yankee Stadium or to Shea Stadium, but I'm sure they were available. I also remember playing baseball on Saturday mornings in the Little Giant League. Teams from all the grammer schools in the town played against each other. It was run by Vince Bellew (Spelling of his name may not be correct). My wife recalls going to ice skate at Playland with the Rec. Department. Ah, the good old days.
