 I was deeply saddened when I read your post about Kathy Salerno. She was a very good friend in high school and she once did a very special favor for me (saved me from some major trouble and possible police action against me) and I never forgot her kindness. As I am now in Florida and have very few friends left in Eastchester I found it difficult to determine what caused her passing. I found no obituaries in the Journal News. She may have been living in Spring Valley because she was writing for a website called Yankee Pot Roast and one of her (satircial or comic) pieces starts off "Greetings from the Spring Valley Mall." The last entrance I could find from her on Yankee Pot Roast was March 2007 so it was not all that long ago. I'll keep searching and will post any information I find.
