Laurence I took my message down, because it looks like I'm trying to sell a product and I've no guarantee that it won't be misused. I was just trying to be helpful, but I can see that could be a problem.

As for the web site you gave me, it is actually a Facebook group who call themselves, Hartz Products are killing our pets. They are not a scientific group and have no proof of what they say. I for one do not believe what groups with an agenda have to say.

I don't believe they are real animal advocates, They think they are help;ing but using a company product in their name, in order to demonize or accuse it, makes me think their focus is on getting at the company, not on helping sick and abused animals.

I do believe it is wise to research products that affect our health or the health of our pets, before we use them. Any chemical if misused, can be harmful. But I don't go to the alarmists for my information. They can take anyone in with their emotive claims. Give me facts from legitimate scientific journals, and build a real body of proof.

My own cat is sick and dying from diabetes and pancratitis. I've never used a flea product on him in the 10 yrs I've had him. But I did, at times, use flea products on my other four cats, and they lived to the ages of 21+, 18, 17, and at least 15 (probably older.)

But all this is moot. The product I mentioned is not an insecticide. It is a deodoriser, that works by neutralizing the smell of cat litter.

Cece, no problems. I didn't meant to feel you bad, I just wanted you to know abt what I've found. No need to tell me you were trying to be helpful, I never thought you meant mean. I just wanted you to know what I found . You're right abt the FB webpage, I never thought it could be a group of people who were against something for a bad reason. Here I'm reading you and answering you I'm at your phrase " Give me ( ...) proof. " I just wanted to tell you than some people have something against it, I thought they had done this FB w/good intentions and not the contrary. I've had dogs and cats in the past and still have 2 cats, who are like for me my ' children ', they also have had serious healthy problems and I still have to keep an eye on them. I know than everyone on this forum has good intentions, I just wanted to tell you about this FB link.
