Subject: Classic Television on MeTV

Me-TV (or MeTV) is Memorable Entertainment Television, a broadcast network showing classic programs primarily from the 1950s through the 1970s. It mostly airs on the digital subchannels of local stations across the country.

The MeTV schedule includes a number of science fiction, horror and suspense programs, such as The Fugitive, Route 66, Honey West, Lost in Space, Naked City, Rod Serling's Night Gallery, Star Trek, Thriller and The Twilight Zone.

Unlike TV Land and many other cable channels, Me-TV shows the complete ending credits of every program.

Here are some of the great old shows I have watched over the last week or so. Some of these episodes can be found online, but it's much more fun watching them on a television.

Sunday December 30, 2012

The Fugitive
"Set Fire to a Straw Man"
Guest starring Diana Hyland, Edward Binns and Joseph Campanella.

Naked City
"Hold for Gloria Christmas"
An amazing episode with Burgess Meredith.

Peter Gunn
"Slight Touch of Homicide"
Howard McNear (aka Floyd the Barber) is an assassin!

Route 66
"Ever Ride the Waves in Oklahoma?"
An interesting episode involving surfing in California.

Monday December 31, 2012

Rod Serling's Night Gallery
"The Phantom Farmhouse"
A spooky episode with David McCallum, David Carradine, Lonny Chapman and Ford Rainey.

Thursday January 3, 2013

Rod Serling's Night Gallery
"Midnight Never Ends"
An imaginative suspense tale starring Robert F. Lyons and Susan Strasberg.

Last night's episode of The Fugitive was "Stranger in the Mirror" guest starring William Shatner. I am really liking this channel!

[> Re: Boris Karloff's Thriller -- Tim, 20:56:24 01/13/13 Sun [1]

The very first episode of Thriller, "The Twisted Image", aired on MeTV on Sunday January 13, 2013.

The cast included Leslie Nielsen, George Grizzard, Natalie Trundy, Dianne Foster, Constance Ford and Virginia Christine.

Thriller (1960-1962) originally ran for two seasons on NBC. It was hosted by Boris Karloff.

The show is sometimes referred to as Boris Karloff's Thriller. Besides hosting, Karloff acted in five episodes of the series.
