I have the documentary of all the people that were involved in the supposed haunting. I use to believe it to be an acurate and true story. Since watching this documentary and researching a bit on my own I truly believe it is a hoax as far as the degree in which they claimed things have happened. I believe a few things have happened there but minor in comparison with the initial story itself. Ronnie Defeo himself had so many conflicting stories. While others have said he claimed that voiced told him to do it. What he in reality said was, "It was like someone else leading me." Hardly the same thing. Then he later stated that there were no voices. None of the people involved had the same story either. If you compare what they said then to now you will see the contradictory in their statements. It was said that Ronnie killed all the members of his family and no one woke up. Ronnie himself stated that his one sister woke up and he wrestled with her and threw her on the bed and then shot her. Another time it was commented on that his sister was found in the closet shot to death. The police say she was in bed in the same position that she was in that night when she went to sleep. Really hard to put much into it at all with all the contradictions going on. Seems that many of the people involved were upset because they got no publicity from it and later stated the whole haunting was a hoax, etc. Didn't take me long to come to the conclusion that while some things may have happened in that house much of it was concocted by someone. Who knows what really happened. Guess we will never know.
