Kellie,

Keep in mind that autism is considered rare. My god-daughter has a form of it and she never flapped her hands. She is perfectly normal other than the fact that she could not speak and she is almost 7 and now speaking a lot more than she used to. She is making great progress and the research into it is coming a long way. It is every parent's fear that there will be something abnormal with their child. You wanted a baby for so long and you finally got her. Just be content with that. Every child develops at their own pace. Some are stubborn with things and let's face it...she is YOUR daughter. :-)
