November 22nd
Harm and Mac's house

Harm was exhausted. Having the house full of kids for three days had taken its toll, and he was looking forward to have Harriet and Bud return home any minute. They had been out of town for the weekend while their four children had stayed with him and Mac. They also had Chloe, Mac's little sister, staying there. She was spending the week to celebrate Thanksgiving with them.

Harm walked inside the house after taking out the trash and found Mac and Chloe busy packing down the Robert's kids stuff.

“I think we have it all, Mac,” Chloe said and smiled when she saw Harm. “You look like you haven't slept in days.”

“I haven't slept in days,” Harm confirmed with a teasing smile. “Where are the kids?”

“The twins are asleep, and A.J and Jimmy are with Mattie in the yard,” Mac said as she closed the bag she'd been packing.

The doorbell rang and Harm walked over to open. “We're back,” Harriet said with a huge smile.

Harm smiled by the sight of two very rested and happy people. “Welcome home.”

It took two hours before Bud and Harriet and their kids left. Chloe and Mattie had gone to see a movie with Jennifer, and they were having a slumber party at Jennifer's place and wouldn't be home until the next day.

Harm was happy to spend the night on the couch not doing anything after the busy weekend. He watched the news and five minutes into a terrible film he wondered where Mac was. He stood and walked to their bedroom, he couldn't see her there so he continued to their bathroom where he found her in the bathtub covered in bubbles.

“There you are,” he said with a smile.

“This is great,” she mumbled tiredly.

“I don't know how Bud and Harriet do that every day,” Harm said with wonder as he sat down on the tub.

“That might be you someday,” Mac teased.

“Not four,” Harm said.

Mac laughed softly. “You're great with them.”

“I have to admit that I did enjoy it,” Harm said with a cute smile as he stood. “I'll leave you alone.”

“Why don't you look on your nightstand. There's a box there with your name on,” Mac said as she stood. “I'll be right there after I shower.”

Harm gave her a questioning look as he turned to leave the bathroom. He walked over to their bed and found the box. He opened it and found a pregnancy test inside it. He walked back to the bathroom where Mac was just stepping out of the shower. “Did you find it?” she asked as she wrapped a towel around her body.

Harm looked at her. “Mac, are you telling me that we are expecting a baby?”

“I am,” she said with a huge smile. “I went to the Doctor and she confirmed it. We did it, Harm.”

He smiled widely as he closed the distance between them. “I love you.”

Mac laughed as their lips met in a passionate kiss. “I love you too.”

Later that night Harm lay awake watching Mac as she slept. He thought about how lucky he was to be able to lie beside her, feel her breath on his skin. She was carrying his baby. It was overwhelming, but at the same time he was ready for it. There was nothing he wanted more than to raise a child with his best friend, the love of his life.

Harm untangled himself from her and reached for his boxers. He went downstairs to have a glass of water. As he headed back to the bedroom he remembered that he still hadn't taken Mac on a honeymoon. There had been no time for it, but he decided to surprise her with it soon.

“Where did you go?” Mac asked tiredly as he snuggled into bed with her again.

“Jut to have some water,” he put his hand on her belly. “I love you, Sarah.”

“I love you too,” she said as she closed her eyes.

Mac and Harm's house
The next morning

Mac just finished emptying the dishwasher when she heard the front door open and shut. She walked to meet her little sister.

“Hi Mac,” Chloe said and hugged her.

“Did you guys have a good night?” Mac asked.

“It was fun,” Chloe said with a happy smile. “I think Jenn is exhausted so be nice to her today. What are you doing home now anyway?” Chloe asked.

“I took the day off,” Mac said and hugged Chloe again. “I thought we'd spend the day together. Thanksgiving is in a few days and we have some shopping to do.”

“Finally I have you all to my self,” Chloe said happily.

Mac rested her head on top of Chloe's head. “Finally,” she agreed.

The day was perfect. They finished all the shopping before lunch, then they had junk food for lunch and ice cream before they went to a nearby stable where they rented horses and went for a ride. As they walked the horses back to their paddock, Mac remembered that she had forgotten to tell Mattie about her and Harm riding in the mountains in Afghanistan.

“Really?” Chloe said as they let the horses go.

“It was scary when the man who guided us walked us through a mine field,” Mac said.

“Sometimes I worry about you,” Chloe said and pointed a finger at Mac. “Promise me you won't do that again.”

Mac laughed softly. “I promise,” she said.

“I guess you will be taking it easier now that you are an old married woman,” Chloe teased.

Mac gave Chloe a push with her shoulder. “Hey!”

Chloe laughed. “When will you and Harm have babies?”

Mac gave Chloe a happy look. “In about nine months.”

“Seriously?” Chloe asked.

“We just found out. But you can't tell anyone, because you are the only one who knows and I don't want Mattie to find out from anyone but us,” Mac warned.

“I won't tell anyone,” Chloe promised. “Congratulations.” She hugged Mac. “I can't believe I'm going to be an aunt.”

Two hours later they had dinner ready when Harm came home from work. Mattie was home when Mac and Chloe came home from their ride and together they made a vegetarian lasagne.

“Hey,” Harm said and kissed Mac sweetly. “What did you guys do all day.”

“Mac took me riding,” Chloe said happily.

“Really?” Harm said and gave Mac a worried look. Having Mac on a horseback in her condition didn't sound like a great idea.

“And we've been shopping,” Mac said as she finished putting plates on the table. “I think we got everything on your list. Chloe will be helping you on Thursday.”

“That' great Chloe. I guess you'll help too Mattie?” Harm asked.

“I'm not much of a cook, but I can watch the two of you,” Mattie teased.

Harm laughed as he sat down to eat. “Between you and Mac's phobia for cooking it's a wonder I don't have to cook dinner every day.”

“It's not a phobia,” Mac argued. “It's just that nothing turns out like it says in the recipe.”

“I can boil water,” Mattie joked.

After dinner the girl's went outside to meet some of Mattie's friends. Harm helped Mac clean the kitchen and used the time to express his concerns about her riding.

“It's not a big deal Harm. The horses were safe and besides I know what I'm doing.”

“That's not the point. You could have been hurt,” Harm argued.

“I can get hit by a car tomorrow,” Mac pointed out.

“Don't even say that,” Harm said in a serious tone.

Mac gave Harm a sweet smile. “You're going to be like this until that baby comes popping out, aren't you?”

“You bet on it,” Harm said stubbornly.

Mac chuckled. “You know how much I hate it when you do that.”

“Do what?” Harm asked innocently. He knew exactly what she was talking about.

Mac rolled her eyes. “I can't stop living Harm. I will be taking it easier, but I still need to work out and stay in shape. My Doctor is monitoring me closely, but she doesn't see any problems so far. I'm in great shape which is positive and I will benefit from a healthy exercise program while I'm pregnant.”

Harm nodded. “I know. Just let me worry about you, okay? This is all new to me and I don't know if I can take it if something went wrong and we lost the baby.”

Mac pulled him close. “I love you so much Harmon.”

Harm kissed her sweetly. “You have no idea, Sarah.”
