(HWA Legends cuts to commercial
break, but before they do, a special segment from earlier today)
The Scene opens.
Ace is sitting at his desk
enjoying the HWA's magazine. He is smiling as he reads the Letters to The
Editor section. He reads aloud: "HWA is the only wrestling federation
I watch and your magazine is the only thing I read." He
chuckles. There is a knock at the door. His secretary walks in and
says: "Sir, there is a woman here to see you, she says its urgent.
" He smiles and tells her to let the woman in. A beautiful
blonde walks through the door. She is wearing a business suit. She
looks familiar.
Ace: Why hello... how can I get
you something to drink?
Woman: Cut the formalities,
Ace. Do you know who I am? Never mind... Look, I am Marcey Steinberg.
I would hope you would remember me. I am here on the behalf of my husband,
Caelius.
Ace: What do you mean? I
thought you were married to-
Marcey: Never mind that I just received
word from Italy that he is planning a march on Washington DC this Friday.
He is hoping to convert the American government to the Roman Empire. It is a
crazy idea that Claudius gave him. This may not seem like it is possible,
but it is. He wants to air a message as the new Emperor of Rome at the PPV.
But that is if he
succeeds. What if he fails? He will be put to death on the charges
of treason. Either way, it will do a lot of damage to this federation and
possible the world. I think you are the only person that can help me
Ace. We need to talk to him.
Ace: I don't think this truly
affects me or this federation. Tell you what I am going to do.
First, I'm going to take his contract and rip it up... next, I am going to call
the DC Police and warn them of this little attack. Thank you for wasting
my time... I don't see any real threat here...
Ace spins his chair to face
a file cabinet. He opens it up. He pulls out the folder named
Caelius. He lays it on his desk. Marcey stares at him with
horror. He looks past her head and sees a picture on the wall. It is
of the Enforcers. It was given to him as a present by Sean years
ago. He walks over to the picture and stares at it. He lowers his
head and turns to face Marcey.
Ace: I'm sorry... I never did
ask you... What happened between you and Poco. Did you divorce... He
didn't die did he?
Marcey: That is what I was
trying to tell you. Caelius is Poco Loco. Let me tell you the whole
story... He met this guy named Clyde when we were vacationing in Canada about a
month before he left the HWA. Poco told him that he was doing some genealogy
research and Clyde offered to help. Well, Clyde was also doing research on
the Roman Empire at the time. The two found some old documents in our
attic and Clyde was very interested to see some famous names on this. I'm
sure you can already guess what those names were. Clyde was part of a militia
and decided to use Poco. He told him that he was the rightful heir to the
Roman throne and that he should claim it. Poco went to Italy and met up
with Jon Rosette. Poco impressed him and he asked to marry into out family
as a sign of faith. Poco agreed and introduced Jon to his sister.
That is the short version of the story.
Poco let this faux power go to
his head, now even Clyde, or Claudius, even regrets this.
Ace: Alright, where does The
Drifter fall into all of this. He is bad news... all the time.
Marcey: Like he said, Claudius
found him in Texas. After The Drifter's battle with Satan he lost a lot of
his power, but he is still a vampire. Though, in his defense, he has
calmed down a bit. His unholy reign has ended and he has been punished...
I won't say how, but just know that he learned his lesson.
Ace: How can I help
Charles? I have to be in town by Friday morning, but I will do what I
can. I want to help.
Marcey: It's already Thursday
evening... damn. We need to make a phone call. You need to talk to
him over the phone.
Ace: Just give me the number.
She gives him Charles number
and he begins to dial the phone.
The scene fades.
(HWA's legends show continues
with classic Pimp 2Dope matches. After a few matches, the special segment
continues.)
Ace: Glad to here it Charlie...
I'll see you on Saturday. Remember, pick up Marcey at her hotel and come
to my office. Don't bring The Drifter or Claudius. Yes, yes... I
know... no... thank you.
He hangs up the phone and
looks at Marcey.
Ace: I'll see what I can
do. I want you to be here and talk to him as well. I hope this
works.
Marcey: Me too... I don't want
him to do anything stupid. I just want my goofy man back...
Ace: I think we all do.
Marcey: But first, I want to go
back to my hotel...
Ace: I understand...
The scene fades
